The Global Green Piano

Global Green USA and ActiveMusic partnered with Baldwin Piano to support the initiative to rebuild New Orleans 'green' and sustainable. To kick off the initiative, legendary musician and New Orleans native Fats Domino autographed the piano and serenaded the crowd singing one of his all time classic hits "Ain't That a Shame". Donated by Baldwin this one-of-a-kind Baldwin Baby Grand “Green” piano was made from wood legally harvested from areas that pose no threat to conservation valued forests or violate any civil rights.

This one of a kind piano will be auctioned to the highest bidder with proceeds from the sale benefiting Global Green’s re-build New Orleans Green campaign currently under construction in the ninth ward.

SRI Jazz is lending its support during the making of "Friends And Family", the Ray Brown Jr all-star duets album. Producer, Shelly Liebowitz has had many of these artists sign this one-of-a-kind piano.
These legendary artists have added their support and they hope that enough money will be raised to help so many in need in New Orleans.
