Billy Vera is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, actor, author and music historian.
He has been a singer and songwriter since the 1960s, writing hits for Barbara Lewis, Fats Domino, The Shirelles and Ricky Nelson among others.
Billy Vera’s most successful record was as Billy Vera & The Beaters, with the song being “At This Moment”, a US number 1 hit in 1987 due mainly because of it’s use on the hit television show “Family Ties”. He has also had an incredible career as a voice over actor, Vera has been the voice for AM/PM Mini Mart commercials since 1999. Billy has written the theme songs for many shows, among them “Empty Nest” and “The King Of Queens”
He continues to perform with his group Billy Vera & The Beaters, and won a Grammy Award in 2013.
