Description
The Kingston Trio were a folk/pop music group that started the folk revival of the 50s and 60s.
The group started as a nightclub act in the San Francisco Bay Area. They were part of the pop-folk boom and had a hit recording of “Tom Dooley”, which sold over three million copies.
The Kingston Trio’s massive record sales in its early days made acoustic folk music commercially viable, paving the way for singer-songwriter, folk rock artists who followed.
This is the Kingston Trio – “Live In Concert”.
