Brooklyn born, Lena Horne was an American jazz and pop music singer, dancer, actress, and civil rights activist of African-American and Cherokee descent.
She has recorded and performed with other jazz notables, including Artie Shaw, Nat King Cole, Teddy Wilson, Billy Strayhorn, Duke Ellington, and Charlie Barnet.
Lena Horne had a career that lasted more than 70 years appearing in film, television, Broadway, nightclubs and live concerts. As a recording artist, she recorded numerous albums, several of which we have here including this terrific album.
